COME, FOLLOW JESUS: “Peace & Oneness”

Ephesians 2:12-18

What does the term “peace & quiet” mean to you? Well for some, it means finding a place of quiet retreat just so that one could escape from the suffering pressures of day-to-day living for a while; For others, it’s probably just a small retreat, like a spa or a public pool…
But how would one find such a thing as “peace & quiet” in a spiritual manner? How would one ever find spiritual peace and quiet? Well, the answer to this may be more helpful than you think, because the only best retreat comes from the One Who has a plan from the very beginning to bring us back to Himself. My friends, we are living in such troubled times as of this very moment, and in such times as these, we need not worldly peace and quiet, but we need real, TRUE peace, the peace that can only be found in the Son of our Lord God, Jesus Christ, Who has given us that true peace after being sent by our Heavenly Father to die for our sins on the cross as the ultimate payment for all of us.
In the second chapter of Ephesians vs. 12-18(NLT), the apostle Paul explains about having the oneness and peace in Christ Jesus alone: “In those days you were living apart from Christ, You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to Him through the blood of Christ. For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations.”

Paul then concluded, “He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in Himself one new people from the two groups. Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of His death of the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death. He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from Him, and peace to the Jews who were near. Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.”
That is right-the Gentiles who were once separated from our Lord God has now been brought together with God because of what His Son did for them; Have you yourself ever felt separated and alone as well as hopeless, and in desperate need of real, true peace? Well, my dearest friend, there is only one way that you can find that peace, and it can only be found in the precious blood or our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because He has won salvation FOR YOU by taking your place as punishment on the cross at a place called Calvary-Christ Jesus allowed Himself to be beaten, whipped, forced to carry, and then was nailed to, suffering, bleeding, and then dying on the cross as the ultimate payment for all of your sins, both in the past and in the present.
And then, three days later, our Heavenly Father raised His only Son from the dead, defeating death as He went out of that cold, dark tomb, so that every single one of us could very well have eternal life. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood.” (Romans 3:23-25, NLT)

And so, my friends, Jesus shed His very own blood to save you from eternal damnation as well as your sins, and you yourselves can be forgiven of those sins if you would just give your very own heart to Jesus Christ. So with that said, are you ready to give your very own heart to Jesus? Then please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Lord God, Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins, and have been raised from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have life eternal. I ask that You allow Your Son to come into my heart, and to please let me follow Him always as my personal Savior. I thank You so very much for giving me the gift of salvation through the precious blood of Your Son, in whose holy and blessed name I pray. Amen.”
If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would like to welcome YOU into God’s Great, Big Family! Now, the very next thing that you need to do now that you have given your heart to Jesus would be to read God’s Word, the Holy Bible, each and every day, and then you need to go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday, so that you can worship, praise, and thank our Heavenly Father for saving you by sending His Son Christ Jesus to die in your place. I very much hope that this week’s message would enrich you and that you would make the most important decision of your life by giving your life completely to Jesus Christ today. I would like to thank you so very much for taking the time to read this week; Until the very next time, Lord willing, may God bless you ever so richly.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
