COME, FOLLOW JESUS: “Everything”

Colossians 1:16

No other gift is as blessed as the gift of creativity; We use that gift to create something that is ours and no one else’s. We use creativity to create gifts for someone who would otherwise not be able to find gifts exactly like the ones we have created. We also use creativity to get people excited for something, like a movie, play, or even a television program…

Now, when it comes to creativity in the perspective of our Heavenly Father, I can surely tell you that even God uses creativity, too: He uses it to create the heavens and the earth, but that’s not all: He also created the first man and the first woman, Adam and Eve. God ordered the very first couple to eat the fruit from the trees of the Garden except the one that had been placed in the middle of the garden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…

But we all know what happens next: The serpent, AKA Satan, had tricked Eve into thinking that she, as well as Adam, would be like God, knowing both good and evil. But we know that that is an out-and-out lie: Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit, in which God became very angry with both of them, and He ultimately banished them out of the garden which is called Eden.

And ever since that first couple had made the first ultimate sin, sin had been rampant, therefore ruining God’s most perfect creation. But in the midst of this, God had a plan, the most greatest plan in the history of mankind, a plan to save you and me and to bring us back to Himself…

First, God sent an angel named Gabriel to a virgin named Mary and told her: “…behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His ancestor David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (Luke 1:31-33, ESV) And sure enough, Mary and her fiance, Joseph, went to Bethlehem and gave birth to the One who would take our place as the punishment for all of our sins, both in the past and in the present, in which afterwards the angel said to the shepherds: “…for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11, ESV)

In the first chapter of Colossians 1:16(ESV), since God created Jesus Christ in the womb of Mary, a virgin, He has also created ALL things: “For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through Him and for Him.”

Yes, that’s right: God has created everything, and that includes His only Son, Christ Jesus, whom He sent to earth to be born in a stable in Bethlehem; He then grew up and began preaching and teaching the world, as well as performing miracles. Then, to fulfill His Father’s will, Jesus took our place to save us by allowing Himself to be beaten, whipped, forced to carry, and then be nailed to, suffering, bleeding, and then dying on the cross as the payment for our sins. And then, three glorious days later, our Heavenly Father raised His Son from the dead, defeating death as He went out of that cold, dark tomb, so that each of us can very well have life eternal! Amen!

My dearest friends, if your lives have been darkened by sin in the past, then I fully suggest that there is no better way to come out of the darkness than by coming to the light-the light of Jesus Christ, the light that shines in the darkness; He can be your own glorious light, too, if only you would just repent of all your sins, and give your heart to the One Who has sacrificed His life for you, Jesus Christ. There is no better time than right now.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for He was looking ahead and including them in what He would do in this present time.” (Romans 3:23-26, NLT)

With that said, my dearest friends, are you ready to commit your lives to Jesus and to give your hearts to Him, so that you could received that most blessed gift of salvation that has been won for you by His most precious blood? Then please pray this prayer with me: “Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that You have died on the cross for my sins, and have been risen from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have eternal life. I ask now that You please come into my heart and let me follow You always as my personal Savior. Thank You so very much for giving up Your life to save me. In Your holy and blessed name. Amen.”

If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then allow me to welcome you into the Family of God! Now, the very next thing that you need to do now that you have given your very own heart to Jesus Christ would be to read God’s Most Blessed Word, the Holy Bible, each and every day, and then when you are ready to worship, praise, and thank our Lord God for sending His only Son to die for you, then go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday. I very much hope as well as pray that you would make this most important choice of your life by giving your heart to Christ Jesus today, for always. I would very much like to thank you for taking the time to read this message this week; Lord willing, until next week, may God ever so richly bless you.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
