“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” (Isaiah, 9:2, NLT) (Zentangle(R)-inspired frame art by Jenn Webster)

It may be the final week of November, but already the holiday shopping season has already started…Well, I should not say “Holiday”; What I am meant to say is that the Christmas holiday season has just gotten underway. In the next few weeks, people will be preparing to celebrate that day of days, with planning and parties in which it all leads up to December 25th
And yet, with the fact that people will be very busy shopping as well as party planning, they have seemed to forget this one thing: They have forgotten about the one true person who has helped make Christmas possible, and no, I do not mean Santa Claus. I meant the person Who is truly what the CHRIST in CHRISTmas really is: He is Jesus Christ, the One Who has saved us from the eternal damnation of hell, the one Who is the TRUE light of the world…Oh, and did I say that He was the true light of the world? Yes, He is! In fact, while all the light decorations, both in the houses and in the cities, shine with their own light, Christ Jesus happens to be the REAL, TRUE LIGHT, a light that outshines the dark sins of the world, a light that outshines every sin committed by every person on the earth. And do you want to know the best part? You can have your soul shine with that Light, the Light of Jesus.

You see, before that Light came into the world, sin was running so very rampant, sin that has been caused by our very first parents, Adam and Eve, after the serpent, who is the devil, tricked first Eve and then Adam with that fruit. And ever since, sin became as deadly as any disease out there. But then, God found a way to save us all from that despicable evil known as sin, a way that brings us back to Himself. He sent that Light-The Light that is known as Jesus-into earth to be born from the womb of a virgin named Mary in a stable in Bethlehem, and to take our place as punishment by suffering and dying on the cross, shedding His blood for all of us, and then raised from the dead on the third day, defeating death as He went out of that very cold and very dark tomb, so that every one of us could very well have life eternal.

In the 8th chapter of the Gospel of John verse 12(NLT), Christ Jesus spoke to the people that He really is the Light that shines the world: “’I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.’”
What Jesus Christ says is so very well true: He is the Light that leads to life, ETERNAL life, salvation from the One who has paid the price for you on the cross, the One Who is the creator of life, and His life brings light to humankind. In the light of Christ Jesus, sinners see themselves as they really are, sinners who are in need of a Savior. Once you repent of your sins and follow the real, true Light, Jesus, then you can certainly avoid walking blindly and falling into sin. He lights the path ahead of you so you can see how you should live.
I think that there could be no better gift for you to have this Christmas season than to have the salvation that is bought for you through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Won’t you invite HIM into your heart today?
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17, NLT)
So, are you ready to receive that Light, the Light that has the salvation that has been bought and paid for by Jesus most precious blood that has been shed for you on the cross? Then, please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that You have died on the cross for my sins, and have been risen from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have eternal life. I now ask that You please come into my heart, and to let me follow You always as my personal Savior. I thank You so very much from the bottom of my heart for giving up Your life to save me. In Your most holy & blessed name. Amen.”

If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would very much like to welcome YOU into God’s Great, Big Family! Now, the very next thing that I would like for you to do now that you have given your heart to Jesus Christ would be to read the most blessed Word of God, the Holy Bible, each and every day of your life, and then, go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday of your life, so that you can worship, praise, and thank our Heavenly Father for showing His love for you by sending His Son to die to save you. I very much hope and pray that you make the most ultimate decision of your life by allowing Christ Jesus into your heart today, for always. I would like to thank you so very much for taking the most blessed time to read today. Until next time, God willing, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
