With Thanksgiving now behind us for another year, it is time once again to look ahead to Christmas here at this most COLORFUL blog on the planet, KALEIDOSCOPE (www.jenniferkaleidoscope.com); But first and foremost of all, I would like to thank all of my fellow bloggers and blog followers for visiting KALEIDOSCOPE throughout National Blog Posting Month back in November…I am hoping that I would be doing more of the same special stuff, not just for next November, but for 365 days a year, every year.
Now, it is a tradition at this here blog that I present to you classic Christmas stories, tales such as The Little Blue Dishes and A Christmas Carol; But I plan on also bringing you other traditional treats as well, such as The Night Before Christmas and Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus. And if the Lord allows, I shall bring these classics to you. If you would like to follow me on this traditional Christmas journey, just go to www.jenniferkaleidoscope.com and just hit that cute, widdle button called “Follow KALEIDOSCOPE”!
With this year that is about to come to a close, I look back at all of the best things that I have done; First, I had made my first goals that have to do with my writing and reading, beginning with “YouTube Superstars” series back in January; Then, this past summer, I did a special series on “Chicago TV Legends”, and in the fall I had done some special stuff that has to do with Halloween and Thanksgiving. And finally, I did something extraordinary-I had finally gotten a job as a food service worker at the Patterson Dining Facility at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware. Now, if that is not achieving something, what is?
I am so very happy to have been blessed with the God-given talents of writing and art; And not only that, God has given me another gift: To help make and keep a dining facility clean so that customers might see the good work that I, as well as my co-workers, do.
As far as balancing between my writing and my job goes, well so far it is going OK; I do not know for sure exactly what the next few days, weeks, and months would bring in terms of having a balance between my job and my writing/art projects, but the only thing that I would manage something like this is to take it one day at a time-You know, like putting one foot in front of the other.
I very much hope that you folks would join me for all of the best Christmas fun right here at KALEIDOSCOPE at www.jenniferkaleidoscope.com; Now, I wonder if I could get my cousins a DVD set of Bob Hope specials instead of that stinkin’ Doctor Who?!?
