Well, it sure looks like the year that is, or what soon shall be was, 2018, shall surely be one for the books, so with that, as KALEIDOSCOPE is about to get ready to close the books on the year of 2018, it is very well time for a look back on what this little blog has done…
First, back in January, I did a special series on YouTube superstars, covering such of those as Dave Fuentes, the Mummy and the Monkey, and a certain British martian in which I shall not mention the name of; All in all, that series was all in good fun; Next, in June, KALEIDOSCOPE presented its 3rd story serial extravaganza, and it’s very first one as a musical, called So Long, Guys!, and I have hoped that most of you folks have had the most fun of reading this joyful delight as I have the pleasure of creating and bringing it to you. Now, as for what next story serial I plan to bring in 2019? Well, all I can say is, stay tuned…

Later on that summer, I had done another special series, this time with the spotlight being centered on Chicago TV legends, From Rich Koz to Mary Hartline to even Ray Rayner; It was the most wonderful experience for me of doing the research for and then preparing for the special series by writing the drafts, and then when that special series of posts have been published on my blog, then that was right there and then that almost everyone had a really fun time of reading about their favorite TV legends that have made Chicago such a wonderfully good city. Now, I do not have any idea on what kind of special series that I plan to do in the coming year, but I can assure you folks of this: When a certain idea pops up in my head during the coming year, then I shall bring something wonderfully special to you.
And in August, I have just released my newest eBook, The Sea Centaur, inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale of The Little Mermaid, written by yours truly and featuring cartoon illustrations in which I have drawn almost 10 years ago! If you would like to purchase my eBook, which makes a great gift, then please go to the Amazon Kindle Store at http://www.amazon.com!
Also, I have just held a writing contest in which writers submitted their stories in which they were featured on my blog in a special entitled Homemade Stories; Hopefully in the coming year I plan on doing another like the one I have just did.

Oh, and I almost forgot something: I had just started my very own podcast over at that make-your-own-podcast website called Anchor.fm in which it is based on this here blog; It is called KALEIDOSCOPE Time. I had just done 13 episodes of the very first season, which has just been completed; Hopefully after the holidays are over, I shall get started on making plans for the second season of my podcast. In the meantime, if you would like to catch up on all 13 of those first season episodes, then I very well suggest that you go and visit www.anchor.fm/kaleidoscope-time.
And in November, yes, I had done another special series, the very last special series of the year, in which focuses on the foods/food companies that have helped shaped Thanksgiving into the holiday that we know and love today…

And lastly, but not leastly, we have come to the final month of the year, December, and this here blog is giving you the gifts of the time-honored traditional posts that you have all come to know and love so very well, all as a way of saying: Thank you so very much, all of you bloggers and blog followers out there, for making 2018 the most creative year ever. I hope that there shall be more colorfully fun stuff to come in 2019. With Love-JW
