Now, before I begin, I would like to say something about sharing food ideas on this here blog in which I have done for the past 6 ½ years…I have enjoyed doing such features as sharing food ideas such as desserts and sandwiches, and I am pretty much sure that you have all enjoyed those 6 ½ years of sweetness just as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with all of you. It looks like that I would be doing a few more of such posts like the following in which I am about to share with you before I close down my blog for good and leaving WordPress at the same time in two months; I know that deep in my heart that it is going to be sad for all you bloggers and blog followers out there that you won’t be seeing any ideas anymore, but take heart-You can always look to that ever-so-full-of-ideas website, Pinterest (, for any great food, drink or dessert idea that would spice up any holiday or special gathering.

And now with that out of the way, I would very much like to stress that Easter is two weeks away, on Sunday, April 21st, and everyone is getting ready by making plans to go to church as well as filling Easter baskets with all kinds of goodies and stuff to boot; However, there comes that thought that maybe just plain candy is not enough to fill any Easter basket-How about a HOMEMADE version? You know, as in, homemade candy?
Well, through the miracle of the aforementioned Pinterest, yours truly has carefully selected some of those homemade candy ideas that would spice up any kind of Easter basket imaginable really quick…

A blondie is like a brownie, but minus the chocolate! Therefore, one should put these kinds of treats into the Easter basket: Easter Egg Blondies!
While not exactly a homemade candy idea, it is an idea that is a delectable sight to behold nonetheless: Easter Candy Kabobs!
Of course, there is always the traditional, time-honored mint patties…
And finally, here is a most surprising treat that would perk up any kind of Easter basket: Cheesecake-Stuffed Chocolate Eggs!
