A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT…

I was originally going to bring you a link from InTouch today, but unfortunately, something went wrong with its website so I would not be able to bring you a link today…
However, I would very much like to share with you a Bible verse from the 7th chapter of John, verses 37-39(NLT); I hope that you enjoy it…

“On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, ‘Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from His heart.” (When He said ‘living water’, He was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in Him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into His glory.)”

Next Time One Swears…(#@$%#$@!!!)

$#@%$#@&!!!_edited

People these days have such foul mouths, it is that no Hefty trash bag is small enough for such mouths as these; Someone should invent Comet cleanser for their mouths and wash their stinkin’ mouths out with it!
But seriously folks, everywhere I go, almost each and every day, I hear nothing but people who just love nothing more than using their potty for mouths, it seems they forgot to flush them. People of all ages swear and curse like drunken sailors so very much that Popeye would need to use Pepto Bismol after eating all of that spinach while listening to such garbage…I mean, where do they get that idea that they are cursing? From spending many a late-night watching HBO?! Or maybe I’m thinking that they got that from the fact that Cardi B. is their fairy godmother, who knows…
Yes, my dearest friends, we are living in this great country of ours, and this happens to be a free country, which means that you can be free to curse like a drunken sailor anytime you please! In fact, they think cursing is a way of life that maybe they would next think that Andrew Dice Clay is like the Mister Rogers of swear words. But you want to know something else? I think that the other people who have put up to hear those who use such disgusting language that they need to wash their ears out with soap!

But to be honest, does one think that getting what they want in life is worth using swear words for? Is getting that promotion worth opening one’s potty mouth? Well, I would very much like to tell you something: You are not going to be the next contestant on Wheel of Fortune if you keep opening your potty mouth for the rest of your life.
Sure, they think that they can get a gazillion likes on any social media page if they set some sort of world’s record by using every swear word they can think of? Well, unless the FCC is not going to pay any attention, not gonna happen. And imagine if there was a children’s show when kids learn that it is OK to swear, as long as you don’t get caught? Well, moms and dads out there, break out the Pepto Bismol, please!!
Anyhoo, in case any of you are wondering if I live with a family who swears, then may I ask: Are you kidding? I have put up with my family who has used their potty mouths more that Elmo from Sesame Street uses the potty, I think! In fact, my family uses profanity often that their verbal behavior is like a blind date: Sounds better on the phone than it is in person! Name other people in your family who don’t curse like sailors, I’ll wait…

We are living in such a time these days when certain things have become problematic, such as that song called Baby, It’s Cold Outside; Wow, I bet that they’ll think that Barney and “I Love You” would be problematic next, hmm?!
I mean, you cannot ever go anywhere these days and find that things such as some song that Kate Smith sang all of those many years ago can cause a hockey team to cover her statue and later remove it; It’s kind of like Walmart wanting to remove Barbie because she did…Oh, never mind…Yes, there are things out there that some people would call problematic, and do you want to know something else? Maybe I myself would like to try something different: If I had the power, I would make cursing/using swear words problematic because they poison the ears of little children everywhere. Yes, little children do not want to hear a garbage can for a mouth.
Yes, if I had one wish, it would be to make swearing problematic; But hey, if that does not work out, then I can make watching Doctor Who problematic! Goodnight, everybody!

ADVICE FOR FUTURE WORDPRESS BLOGGERS…

sketch1557148738790.jpg

It is kind of hard to say goodbye to the very thing that you love so very most, and that happens to be blogging; I wish that I could continue on blogging, but how would I be able to find time to concentrate on my food service cleaning work? How would I find time to write my next book? And most importantly, How would I ever find the time to finally relax and put my focus on my family?
So it is with that that my focus should be on the very things that I have just mentioned, and not on blogging anymore. Come June 14th, I shall finally be able to do all of those things…
But before I plan to write my last post as well as close down my blog and leaving WordPress for the very last time after 6-1/2 years, I think that it is very well time for me to give advice to those who are just about to get started on their very own WordPress blogs…

First and foremost of all, just be yourself; You cannot start your blog as a character or something. Don’t be afraid if you could do something right or wrong-Just concentrate on your writing, and remember this: Don’t stare at the screen-Stare at the keyboard while you type!
And please do not ever worry about how what your audience would think of your writing: Just surprise them! Remember this little quote that I have made: “Write like no one is reading it.” I have always used my quote in the beginning, and I have a feeling that I shall always will use my own quote after my time at WordPress is done.
Oh, and there is another piece of advice that I would very much like to give to you: If you are going to write something in which would include your family, then do so, but PLEASE do not ever use their real names, or you shall very well end up in very big trouble. For the past 6-1/2 years, whenever I write a post that includes my family, I would never, ever use their names, and I surely would not ever use them in the days, weeks, months, and years to come.

And there happens to be one more piece of advice that I would like to give to up-and-coming bloggers…Well, it is not exactly advice, but in actuality, it is a wish from yours truly: As I am about to head off into the sunset after 6-1/2 years, may I wish each and every blogging newcomer all the very best in their success as they prepare to begin their future in the wonderfully wide world of blogging. To all of you: Good luck, with love-JW

A FINAL ESSAY ABOUT MOTHER’S DAY…

Over the past 6-½ years, I have written many an essay about things such as holidays and whatnot; Among the holidays in which I have written essays about is Mother’s Day, a day that honors all mothers, as well as families with aunts and uncles that are like mother’s to them; I have an aunt who had suddenly become like a mother following the death of my stepfather back in 2011; But in later years, I think that she became too busy in her own job while thinking about her future to concentrate on me, but I have managed to do things on my own. Nevertheless, I appreciate my aunt for being like a mom to me…

And yes, in case you are wondering, I had a mother; from the time I was born until she unfortunately passed away in 2004, during the time when I was living in Philadelphia, my mother had done all that she ever could in trying to take good care of me, but unfortunately, she had her own demons inside-She was an alcoholic as well as being addicted to a drug called Ativan. Since my mom’s death, I have tried as hard as I ever could to not ever follow the ways that my mother has: Her alcoholism and her somehow uncontrollable screaming, that is due to the fact that she was also mentally ill, as well as having been a lupus victim. I have tried to not follow those ways as very best as I can, and so far, I am doing a pretty good job, but only it is due to the help of the Lord God.

Since the passing of my mother, I have tried to honor Mother’s Day by sending cards to my aunt and sister-in-law; But for me, I don’t think that Mother’s Day would have any effect on me because of the passing of my mother. I miss my mom every single day, while I try to get on with my life as very much as I can…

Since this happens to be the very last Mother’s Day essay that I shall ever write for this here blog before I close it down on June 14th, I would like to say this to each and every mom out there; It isn’t much, but it comes from the heart: I myself, as well as the rest of this great country of ours, are very proud of all the work that you do as mothers. You sacrifice your time and effort each and every day to love, help, and care for the families that you love the very most. And for this, we are so very grateful for the work that you do. Thank you, moms, and a very happy and blessed Mother’s Day to each and every one of you. God bless you all.

There’s Always Another Year…

Well, it looks like for the city of Dover, Delaware, another Dover Days festival has come and gone; Last year, I went to that annual event to help that certain place where I do volunteer work weekly, ReadAloud Delaware, hand out free books; And afterward, I took a nice little browse-around to see some of the things that make Dover, DE a city…
This past weekend, the Dover Days festival had been held, and this year, I did not get to go; I think one of the reasons that I did not go is that I had been busy getting ready for something that is so very special in all of my life. But I would care any less about Dover Days, and besides, the Dover Days festival only comes once a year, but you only get to say goodbye to something only once…That’s right, I am planning to get ready to say goodbye to blogging and to the family that has helped me get started in my journey of writing for all of those 6-½ years, WordPress.
In May of 2012, six months before I got started on my blog, I attended the Dover Days festival for the very first time; In those few years to come, even after I have launched my blog, I would be attending the Dover Days festival with my family…

But all of a sudden, it seemed as if everything in life as well as in my family had changed; My first cousin had suddenly impregnated his now-former girlfriend and then became a single father, and then my brother, sister-in-law and my niece and nephew somehow did not end up going along with us to Dover Days in later years; My niece had grown up into a teenager and was concentrating on her high school studies, and I do not have the slightest idea of what my nephew is doing now…
Unlike last year, my family did not go to Dover Days at all-My first cousin’s son got sick, and my aunt had to go on a business trip or something like that; As for me, as I have mentioned earlier, I have been too busy preparing for my farewell to blogging. I know, I should be disappointed that I did not go this year; But I am hoping that in the next year, whether I get either a car or an adult tricycle, I would try and do my best to visit that most wonderful festival. Now, honestly, I do not have anything against the Dover Days festival; It is just that it is the same thing every year, with so many Dover-based businesses peddling everything from local art to bakery to ice cream to pizza to even dog treats. And yes, in case you folks are wondering, I had missed the morning parade.
Now, to change the subject…There is something that I would very much like to tell you, and it is the fact that my family and I are somehow estranged; Now, I really do not want something like this to happen, but it could be as such that there happens to be an estrangement between myself and my family. The reason for this possible fact is this: I am worried as well as upset for my family, and I can tell deep inside the hearts and souls that they are in serious trouble; I would very much like to reach out to them and to tell them that whatever they are facing is none of their fault and that everything is going to be alright. I would also like to reach out my hand to them and to tell them to not ever be afraid to come and talk to me with their problems.

But it seems that they do not want to ever talk about their problems to me; they just want to tell me to mind my own business. And do you want to know something else? That just upsets me! My family just cannot walk around with frustration and problems on their minds and then just tell me that everything’s fine; As a matter of fact, whenever I try to ask any member of my family what is wrong whenever something goes wrong, all they say to me is strictly, “Nothing!” Just like that: “Nothing!” And that happens to be another thing that upsets me…
I am also been praying for my family and hoping that they would open their ears to the Gospel, listen to it, and then repent of their sins; I have been praying for them for years, but it seems that they just go on ignoring His Word. But I am going to keep on praying for them anyway, and hopefully, someday, they would finally listen to the Gospel and that they would invite Jesus into their hearts.
Meanwhile, I would like to close with this: Hopefully I shall go back to the Dover Days festival next year, and if and when I get to take pictures of that festival, I shall get those pictures put up in a different area of the internet, because in that next year, I would not be blogging, but book-writing as well as food service cleaning.

COME, FOLLOW JESUS: “United with Christ”

Ephesians 2:4-7

CFJ MOUNTAIN.jpg
“But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.” (Psalm 5:11, NLT) (Photo collage art by Jenn Webster)

Well, the holiday that is known as Easter has come and gone for another year; All the Easter decorations are about to be put away, while one is certain that some or all of the candy has been eaten. Meanwhile, spring break has come to a close for another year, and most of the kids who have had that spring break are now heading back to reality as they go back to school…
But hold on a minute: Easter is not REALLY over: Easter is forever, and do you want to know why? Because of what our Heavenly Father has done because He loves us and wants to do something to save us all: He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to become our Easter miracle…He died a criminal’s death on the cross, and then God raised Him from the dead on the third day, because death could not ever keep a hold on Him. Jesus defeated death, and He is alive, declared victory from death so that someday, we might have life eternal! It is such a most blessed thing to be saved and to offer salvation through the precious blood that has been shed for us by Jesus!
Yes, God gave us life because He has raised His Son from the dead; Along with His Son, He has raised us from the dead, and has seated us with Him…

In Ephesians 2:4-7(NLT), the Apostle Paul explains it this way: “But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (it is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”
Yes, my dearest friends, we have been united with Jesus Christ because He took our place on the cross and died for each of us as payment; Then, on the third day, our Lord God raised Jesus from the dead, defeating death as He went out of that cold, dark tomb, so that every one of us could have life eternal.
But what about you? Do you have that Easter spirit, or if you haven’t, then do you really want to have that Easter spirit, not just on that holiday itself, but ALL the time? Well then, there is only one way to do so, and that one way is God’s Son, Jesus Christ. You see, all your sins have been nailed to the cross with Jesus, while your sins have been washed away by His most precious blood that has been shed for you on the cross. His death and resurrection was the price He paid to save us, and even you! If you have been living in the darkness, that darkness that has been caused by the many problems and trials in your life, then I think that it is time that you get to know God through Jesus-He loves you so very much, and He would very much like to introduce to you the Son-The Son who has paid the most ultimate price to save you. All you have got to do is to admit that you are a sinner, repent of your sins, and invite Jesus to come into your heart. It is the most blessedly simple thing that you could ever do.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17, NLT)
And so with that, my dearest friends, are you ready to commit your heart to Jesus Christ? Then I ask that you please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am a sinner. I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. I believe that You have died on the cross for my sins, and have been raised from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have eternal life. I ask now that You please come into my heart and let me follow You always as my personal Savior. I thank You so very much for You sacrifice as the ultimate price paid to save me. In Your most holy and blessed name. Amen.”
If you have just prayed this prayer with me, I would very much like to welcome YOU into God’s Great, Big Family! Now, the very next thing that you need to do now that you have given your heart to Jesus would be to read the Holy Bible, God’s most blessed Word, each and every day of your life; and then, you need to go to a good, Christian church, each and every Sunday of your life, so that you could praise, worship, and thank our Lord for sending Jesus to die for you. I very much hope and pray that you make this most blessed choice of all by giving your very own heart to Jesus Christ and to follow Him always today. I thank you so very much for taking the time to read this message today; Until next time, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
