COME, FOLLOW JESUS: “Accepted”

Colossians 2:6-15

We’ve all would like to be accepted into some kind of family or union; For example, we are accepted into a spouse’s family once we get married…When we graduate from high school, we would somehow be accepted into a university or college. And after we had been working on our jobs for so long, then we would be finally accepted into a much better responsibility when we have finally been given that promotion that we have worked so very hard for…
However, when it comes to the subject of being accepted into something, one must ask: Would you be accepted by Jesus Christ once you give your heart to Him?
Think of it this way: All of your life, all you ever wanted was to be accepted, as well as loved; Well, let me tell you something, my dearest friends: No matter who you are or what you have done, God loves you so very much, and He loves you so very much that He sent His only Son, Christ Jesus, to take your place of punishment and die on the cross for your sins, and that by defeating death when He has raised from the dead, He offers you the most incredible gift of all: Salvation as well as the promise of eternal life.

The apostle Paul explains this fact of being accepted further in Colossians 2:6-15(NLT): “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were ‘circumcised’, but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision-the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him you were raised to new life because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.”
Now, what I would very much like to ask you is just this one question: Have you been accepted by our Lord God due to the precious blood of His Son Jesus Christ on the cross? If you have not done so, and that you have been struggling for years trying to find some way to be saved from your sins. My friends, you cannot save yourself: Only Jesus can! And you cannot ever cleanse yourself of your sins-Only the precious blood shed on the cross by Christ can do that! My friends, there is no better time to be saved that right here and now, even while you are reading this message today-Just ask the Lord that you have sinned, and that you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and then invite Him to come into your heart.
My dearest friends, the only best way that you can ever be accepted is that by the love of our Heavenly Father through the gift of salvation that has been won for us by the blood of Jesus on the cross.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood.” (Romans 3:23-25, NLT)

So with that, are you ready to be accepted with the gift of salvation won for us by Jesus Christ? Then all you have got to do is to please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins, and that You have raised Him from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have life eternal. I ask now that You please allow Your Son to come into my heart, and let me follow Him always as my Savior. I thank You so very much for allowing You Son to pay the ultimate price of His life to save me. In Your Son’s most holy & precious name, I pray. Amen.”
If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would like to welcome YOU into the Family of God! Now, the next thing to do now that you have given your heart to Christ Jesus would be to read God’s most blessed Word, the Holy Bible, each and every day, and then I would like for you to go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday, so that you can praise, worship, and thank our Lord God for sending His Son to sacrifice His life to save you. I hope as well as pray that you make the most important choice of your life by giving your very own heart to Jesus Christ today so that you can follow Him for always. I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to read my message today. Until the next time, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

COME, FOLLOW JESUS: “More Than We Can Ask or Think”

Ephesians 3:14-21

“…but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.” (Psalm 73:26, NLT)

When babies are born, sometimes they need milk and/or soft food for nourishment in order for them to grow; For a new car to do its best work, then sometimes it has to have a check-up, its oil changed, and of course get its tank filled with gas, not to mention having to get it cleaned almost every time at the car wash as well as having it waxed every once in a while…

Now, what does it mean to have spiritual growth? Well, in order for a Christian to follow our Heavenly Father’s example, they have to pray without stopping, as well as to follow His Word through the scriptures of His Book, the Holy Bible. And yes, all Christians must follow the rules of the holy book of the Bible, so that Christians would have their spiritual nature to grow and flourish.

But what about you? What have you been doing in your life? What kind of tools that you really need in order to have your lives grow to the fullest? Have you been leading your own lives without ever knowing who the Lord God really and truly is? Have you not ever known that God loves you so very much that in order to save us all, He sent His only Son to take our place on the cross and die for us all? Well, it looks like that is very well about time for your lives to have a spiritual tune-up, and there is no better place to start than the one Who gave His life so that you could have a life that’s eternal, Jesus Christ.

In the 3rd chapter of Ephesians verses 14-21(NLT), the apostle Paul prays for us of the spiritual growth that Christians have, and that you should be having as well: “When I think of this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

My dearest friends, if you have been going through such hardest of times in your lives, then I would very much like for you to take heart: God loves you so very much, and He shall always love you no matter what kind of situation you are going through right now, and He wants to offer this certain invitation to you right now: To save a sin-sick world in which we are living in right now, God began to use His most deepest expression of His love for each and every one of us by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to be born from the womb of a virgin named Mary, and then to do His Father’s will of taking our place of punishment by allowing Himsef to be whipped, beaten, forced to carry, and then be nailed to, suffering, bleeding, and then dying on the cross, shedding His blood as the ultimate payment for our sins.

And the, on the third day, our Lord God did something extravagantly wonderful: He raised His Son from the dead, defeating death as He went out of that cold, dark tomb, so that all of us could very well have eternal life. My friends, Jesus Christ will surely make His home in your heart if you ask Him to forgive you of your sins because He died for you and then invite Him to come into your heart. That’s all that you have got to do-Just ask!

And so with that, would you like to have this free gift of salvation that has been won for us by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Then I ask that you please pray this prayer with me: “Oh, Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins, and that You have raised Him from the dead on the third day, defeating death so that I could have life eternal. I now ask that You please allow Your Son to come into my heart, and to let me follow Your Son always as my Savior. I thank You so very much for allowing Your Son to pay the ultimate price of His life to save me. In Your Son’s most holy and most precious name I pray. Amen.”

If you have just prayed this prayer with me, then I would very much like to welcome YOU into the Family of God! Now that you have given your heart to Jesus Christ, the very next thing that you need to do would be to read the Holy Bible, God’s blessed Word, each and every day. And when you are ready to praise, worship, and to thank our Lord God for sending His Son to pay the price for you, then I very much like for you to go to a good, Christian church each and every Sunday. I am hoping that you would make this most blessed decision of giving your very own heart to Jesus so that you could follow Him for always. I would like to thank you so very much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read my message today while I hope that it has been a blessing to every one of you. Until the next time, may the Lord God ever so richly bless you.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
